Job Description:

Fulfil is hiring an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer to join us at a fast-paced startup in a multi-disciplinary engineering team. In this role you will own the electrical manufacturing process from concept to production for our proprietary industrial automation equipment in accordance with industry standards, best practices, and requirements. This role offers ample growth opportunities while working side-by-side with cross functional engineering teams of Mechatronics, Mechanical, System, SW/FW and operation to bring our innovative and exciting new technology to reality.

In This Role You Will

  • Own challenging electrical manufacturing projects in industrial automation and robotics
  • Work with a cross functional team (mechatronics, electrical engineering, systems, software, firmware and supply chain) to design robust electrical systems
  • Work with supply chain and contract manufacturers to ensure efficient manufacturing and high production quality of production products.
  • Evaluate designs and propose changes to improve manufacturability to reduce cost, increase reliability, improve assembly quality, and improve test/inspection.
  • Provide DFM/DFA guidance/feedback on electrical designs
  • Solve technical problems (assembly, test, yield, etc) across different electrical manufacturing commodities.
  • Impact the company’s overall  performance by contributing to a positive work culture, encouraging good engineering practices, and helping to create and improve robust engineering workflows and processes

What We’re Looking For

  • BS or MS in electrical engineering or equivalent
  • Strong electrical engineering fundamentals 
  • 4+ years of relevant professional work experience
  • Experience with PCBA, cabinets, cabling, motors, and other electrical equipment design and manufacturing
  • Proficient in PCBA development tools such as Altium or Cadence.
  • Working knowledge of standard electrical inspection procedures for PCBAs, cabinets, and cabling
  • Proficient in utilizing common electrical troubleshooting equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, etc.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Demonstrated ability to represent the company to its partners, suppliers, and vendors
  • Excited to travel - while most of the work will be based in our Mountain View facility, there will be up to 15% travel to supplier or customer locations

What We’d Love To See

  • 6+ years of relevant professional work experience
  • Prior experience working in a start-up environment.
  • Experience with robotics, motors and other electromechanical components
  • Experience with UL or CE certification
