Certified Pharmacy Technician Specialist

The ConcertoCare Pharmacy Technician Specialist assists pharmacists and providers with medication-related functions, reporting and processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Remain knowledgeable of and continually review medication brand and generic names, medical terminology, and pharmaceutical calculations.
- Assist in day-to-day tasks as needed and requested by lead pharmacist or director of pharmacy.
- Responsible for interacting with other departments to assist with member problems or questions and act as facilitator to resolve them regarding prior authorization or obtaining medications.
- Attend scheduled team meetings and provide relevant feedback regarding workflow issues.
- Assist pharmacist with disease management scheduling, pre-appointment preparation, and follow up tasks for medication education.
- Process select medication list updates/medication reconciliation requests as requested by the clinical pharmacist, including but not limited to adding or deleting medications, changing medication doses or other prescription details as indicated from the most recent medication list in preparation for final check by provider or pharmacist.
- Responsible for initiating and following through with patient assistance programs to help patients afford their medications.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician Program
- Three or more years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Pharmacy Benefit Management experience preferred
- Current State Pharmacy Technician Certification and License if required
- National Certification required
- Experience and/or ability to work with electronic health record system
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Base Salary/ Wage Range $21 to $25 plus annual bonus. Compensation for the role is commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
