Description
What you will be doing as a Fuel Cell Sealer:
In this role, you can expect to assemble and seal integral fuel cells with precision and care. You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced sealers, gaining valuable hands-on experience.
Your responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):
- Fuel Cell Preparation & Sealing: Perform various sealing operations on aircraft fuel cells, following standard procedures and instructions taught in Textron Aviation’s Fuel Cell Sealing Training course
- Sheet Metal Assembly: Assemble wing fuel cells, including drilling, countersinking, fitting, trimming, and riveting, ensuring all parts are properly cleaned before sealing
- Leak Testing: Test assembled wings by applying air and ammonia solution under pressure to check for leaks
- Rework & Quality Assurance: Perform rework by removing old sealant, re-cleaning, and re-sealing to meet specifications and prevent leaks
- Tool Utilization: Use various sheet metal hand and power tools, along with sealing tools like spatulas, scrapers, rollers, sealing guns, fairing tools, and durometers
