Job Description

This is a key role helping the Global Warehousing function, including partnering with cross functional organizations, research track warehousing cost, and work closely global logistics collaborators. The major focus of this position will be to coordinate and drive implementation of best practice of warehousing best practices. The position will include implementing warehousing systems and processes, internal customer partnership initiatives, and warehousing  design modeling and implementation. The incumbent will establish relationships with internal business unit customers, vendors, and Intuitive Surgical external customers.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive programs / projects to enhance warehousing operation that help cost controls, performance metrics, capacity requirements, company growth, and business continuity.
  • Partner with Global warehousing internal people to identify annual warehousing continuous improvement initiative pipeline that meets or exceeds individual and team goals and provide cost certainty, improved service, and quality to Intuitive divisional business units
  • Manage building continuous improvement opportunities that will deliver significant warehousing  savings and improve customer service
  • Present cost, quality, and strategic business cases to SC leadership and key cross functional collaborators
  • Other Duties Assigned
     

Qualifications

Typical Background
 

  • Minimum BS in Supply Chain / Logistics or related field
  • 5-10 years Lean / Six Sigma Experience
  • 5-10 years of Global Logistics / Warehousing Process and Program Improvement Experience
  • 5-10 years of Global Logistics Supplier Experience
     

Key Required Skills, Knowledge, and Capabilities
 

  • Knowledge of warehousing / distribution process and industry best practice
  • Knowledge on warehouse automation technologies including, VLM, ASRS and robotics
  • Working knowledge of warehousing / distribution vendors specifically partnering with implementing best practice solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple cross functional and cross organizational projects
  • Bring extensive industry knowledge and demonstrated ability to influence at the logistics leadership level
  • Excellent Warehousing / Distribution finance knowledge
  • Supply Chain Process Improvement knowledge
  • Budget Experience / Tracking Actuals to Budget
  • Solid Data Skills
  • Exceptional organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a team player, amenable to a variety of work projects.
  • Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
