ACCOUNTANT

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or plublic sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Federal accounting standards, and Department of War or Department of Navy financial policies to resolve complex accounting issues. 2) Reviewing, analyzing, reconciling, and maintaining general ledger accounts, subsidiary ledgers, and financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance. 3) Preparing, analyzing and validating financial reports, statements, and supporting documentation used in financial management decision-making. 4) Communicating complex financial regulations and advising leadership, managers, and stakeholders on accounting policies, financial reporting requirements, and financial management issues.
