We're seeking a highly experienced and skilled Box Office Treasurer. As a team leader at Carnegie Hall, you'll be responsible for upholding best-in-class ticketing standards, anticipating ticketing business needs and evolutions, leading a high-performing team, and delivering exceptional customer service. The Treasurer will need to perform technical and administrative work, requiring outstanding attention to detail and superior technical proficiency. It is essential that the Box Office Treasurer possess a friendly, competent, professional, and customer-focused demeanor and can anticipate questions from concertgoers as well as visiting presenters. The Box Office is part of the Ticketing department, within Marketing. This role is a union position covered by Treasurers and Ticket Sellers Union Local 751, IATSE. Tessitura experience required.

Responsibilities:
• Lead the Box Office team, ensuring optimized efficiency, technical skills, and customer service. Prepare weekly work schedule to support event schedule and meet customer demand.
• Collaborate with Ticketing and Subscriptions teams to achieve revenue and customer service goals.
• Serve as key contact with visiting presenters, providing exceptional customer service, confirming on-sale dates, building events, recommending pricing, delivering ticket sales reports, preparing box office settlements, and other requests as needed.
• Interface with various Carnegie Hall departments, including Concert/Artistic Presentations, Weill Music Institute, Technology, Marketing, Finance, Booking, and House Manager departments.
• Recommend and document process improvements, train staff on new procedures, and manage ticket inventory through Tessitura including holds and allocations. Ensure shared understanding across departments and systems.
• Maintain effective communication with the Box Office team, Director of Ticketing, and colleagues to ensure excellent customer service and team performance.

Qualifications:
• 10+ years of experience in ticket sales, staff leadership, and training, with a strong focus on problem-solving and financial controls/accountability.
• Proficiency in Tessitura, Microsoft Office, and excellent customer service skills. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to operate effectively in pressure situations, with strong communication and team player skills.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a passion for the arts and customer service.

Work Schedule and Location:
• This is a full-time, on-site position at Carnegie Hall, 881 Seventh Avenue, New York City.
• The Box Office is open seven days per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule within all hours of operation.
