This role requires a hybrid work arrangement. At Wipfli, hybrid is defined as associates regularly work in a Wipfli office, from home, and other meeting sites. Note that scheduled meetings in the office will require in-person attendance.

 

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Director, the Manager, Sales Architect leads functional & technical discovery, qualification, and solutions mapping for new sales opportunities of technology solutions.  In addition, this role will be the primary point of intersection with the Wipfli Service & Delivery team for pre-sales client project definition and scoping to ensure an effective transition of client projects from sales to services, while providing leadership, direction, and development for assigned Sales Architect team members.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and manage the Sales Architect team, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, development, and achievement of revenue targets.
  • Qualify prospects through initial assessments, discovery, and technical evaluation to determine opportunity fit and solution feasibility.
  • Conduct in‑depth discovery to understand current systems, future requirements, and functional needs; document client requirements and commitments.
  • Define solution scope using industry best practices and create rough order‑of‑magnitude budgets.
  • Design and deliver value‑driven solution presentations and customized demos, including configuring demo environments and tools.
  • Research, recommend, and coordinate third‑party solutions and partner participation as needed.
  • Provide technical and solution input for RFP responses and complex sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate with service and delivery teams to align on resources, timelines, and prospect expectations during the sales cycle.
  • Ensure a smooth handoff of technical knowledge and key relationships to delivery teams upon contract execution.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or closely related technical field
  • Industry related experience with the ability to translate experience to solve client business process and application issues
  • Implementation experience and/or participation in at least 10 full life cycle implementations or 5+ years ERP implementation experience for supported technology platforms
  • 3+ year demonstrated success in pre-sales operations with an enterprise software and systems integration firm
  • 2+ years of experience leading and coaching a team

The estimated base pay range for this role is $129,000 to $174,000, with offers typically not made at the maximum, allowing for future salary increases. The actual salary at the time of offer depends on business related factors like location, skills, experience, training/education, licensure, certifications, business needs, current associate pay, and relevant employment laws. 

 

Individuals may be eligible for a commission plan, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.
