The opportunity

Whāraurau seek an experienced and passionate Workforce Delivery Lead to plan the content and delivery of our national infant, child and youth mental health and wellbeing workforce programme.  This programme will support the development of knowledge and skills of those in the sector. Ideally you will have an interest in identifying and analysing workforce data and supporting service improvement through the Choice and Partnership Approach (CAPA) service improvement model . This role will also lead on data collection, analysis and write up of our biennial national Stocktake project, an analysis of key service data from the infant, child, adolescent and youth mental health and wellbeing sector. This project assists in the understanding of service demand and future planning for these services. This is a great opportunity to make a positive impact and work with passion towards a meaningful purpose, whilst gaining exposure to national projects of significance that genuinely make a difference to kōhungahunga, tamariki, rangatahi and their whānau.

Key responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate and contribute to Whāraurau work programmes.
• Engage actively with the infant, child, adolescent and youth mental health and wellbeing sector.
• Organise and facilitate a range of training and education workshops and events.
• Manage the collection and analysis of biennial infant, child, adolescent and youth mental health (ICAYMH) services workforce stocktake data
• Promote best practice and fidelity in CAPA.
• Support Whāraurau Principal Advisors.
• Promote a positive understanding of infant, children, adolescent, and youth (ICAYMH) mental health and wellbeing.
• Ensure principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi are supported and implemented in delivery of service.

Your skills and experience:

It is essential for you to hold:

• A minimum of 3 years workplace experience in infant, children, adolescent, and youth (ICAYMH) and wellbeing sector
• Demonstrated track record of effective project management including:
  • stakeholder management
  • budget management
  • data analysis and report writing
  • delivery results to the appropriate quality and timelines.
  • planning and facilitation of events and workshops, continuous improvement based on evaluations
• Understand Māori & Pacific approaches to wellbeing, and a commitment to promote positive outcomes for tangata whenua and pacific communities.
• Familiar with the concepts of Pae Ora (healthy futures).
• Flexibility to contribute across several projects, creating positive stakeholder experiences.
• The ability to travel nationally when required.

Who we are

Whāraurau works to improve the mental health and wellbeing of infants, children, adolescent,  youth and those who care for them by providing workforce development within the mental health and addiction sector in Aotearoa. Through UniServices, a wholly owned social impact company of Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland, we are contracted by the Ministries of Health and Education to grow the capacity and capability of the infant, child, adolescent, youth and whānau mental health and addictions workforces. We offer a range of e‑Learning courses, training, webinars and service supports that are government-funded and free to access.
