Job Description

The Quality Assessment Manager will oversee Quality Assurance Assessments and will work closely with the Quality Director (QD) to establish a location assessment schedule. Responsibilities include traveling to locations to conduct assessments, completing round of all locations every two years, tracking and driving corrective action through completion, monitoring sustainability of corrective actions and working with regulatory agencies and DOD groups to build relationships and reliance on our company-wide systems approach. The Quality Assessment Manager will function as the second responder for major data recall or ethics data issues.

Quality Assessment Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Conduct location quality system assessments.
  • Work with Quality Director (QD) to establish an assessment schedule.
  • Assist in the maintenance of a comprehensive corrective action database.
  • Follow-up activity to monitor status of action plan, internal assessment closure, and sustained corrective action.
  • Assist locations in resolving complicated or questionable interpretation of requirements and intervening when need through the agency or program chemists as an independent bystander.
  • Provide assistance to QD in determining location’s ability to comply/participate in DOD/DOE programs, granting authorization to proceed or withdraw locations from Eurofins Environment Testing USA’s approved list.
  • Coordinate travel activities to minimize costs and expenses, combining multiple events when practical.
  • Maintain information in a central repository available for all locations for accreditation/approval programs.
  • Identify and maintain a list of key technical challenges for each program and work with resources within Eurofins Environment Testing USA, or external with the programs, or other clients to establish acceptable alternative approaches or make case to challenge the requirements.
  • Capture program knowledge and intelligence and establish opportunities within
  • Eurofins Environment Testing USA for cross fertilization of the information (meetings, calls, or lead work group assignments).
  • Coordinate the collection of knowledge and intelligence gained from assessment and provide a mechanism to distribute and share this information.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Chemistry or related field from an accredited university
  • Minimum 5 years bench level analytical experience plus formal QA training or 2 years QA experience.
  • Minimum 2 years experience conducting formal location quality system
  • Knowledge of the Accreditations/certifications of NELAC and DOD/DOE programs
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
