25-26 SEE Front Desk Assistant

Position Overview:
The Front Desk Assistant is a student employment position responsible for supporting the daily operations of the SEE Hub, which includes the Office of Student Involvement, Residence Life & Community Standards, and Kessler Scholars Program, as well as the SEE Leadership Suite, which includes the Dean and Associate Dean of Students team, and Retention Strategies. 
As the first point of contact, the Front Desk Assistants create a welcoming and inclusive environment while providing essential support to students, staff, and visitors. Individuals in this role must be organized, attentive, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively. Regular check-ins with the supervisor, and participation in monthly team meetings are expected.

Key Responsibilities:
Greet all visitors and maintain a professional presence at the front desk
Answer phone calls, provide assistance, and transfer calls as needed
Assist in updating campus digital signage
Student ID card creation
Assist with key check-ins/check-outs 
Stamp approved posters per OSI guidelines
Assist student organizations with package pickups, deposits, and event rentals
Monitor and maintain a clean and organized desk, and shared spaces
Provide accurate information and direct visitors to appropriate resources or staff
Maintain confidentiality and uphold respectful communication at all times

Qualifications:
Saint Mary’s College student in good standing with the College (academic and community standards)
Responsible, organized, and detail-oriented
Friendly, approachable, and committed to inclusive service
Able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor
Comfortable using Google Workspace and Canva

Preferred Schedule:
4 - 9 hours per week, between 8 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday
