Acentra is looking for a Director of Sales to join our growing team.
Job Summary:
The Director of Sales is responsible for the identification, qualification, strategic positioning, and capture of business within the state healthcare sectors. As part of these activities, the Director of Sales will be a key member of the team responsible for generating revenue and achieving the organization’s growth goals.
This is a remote position with a preference for the candidate working out of the PST/MST time zone/location
Job Responsibilities:
· Work with the SVP of Sales to execute plans and programs, both short and long range, to ensure the revenue/profit growth and expansion of company products are in line with company strategic goals for growth, including generating go to market strategy, providing input for the P&L forecasting effort, and evaluating the competitive landscape.
· Cultivate relationships with existing clients and account executives in order to identify new business opportunities.
· Establish alliances and channel partnerships with other organizations to expand the client base for the current product lines.
· Coordinate sales efforts/strategies with internal product experts in order to provide comprehensive sales solutions to customers.
· Develop and implement marketing strategy and planning efforts for providing solutions to strengthen and increase Acentra’s market share. Identify and research other new program business opportunities aligned with Acentra’s strategic initiatives.
· Participate in the research, analysis, and monitoring of financial, technological, and demographic factors to capitalize on business opportunities and to minimize the effects of competitive activity.
· Work with the marketing and communications department to maintain sales collaterals, presentations and market research and sizing
· Drive relationship-building process at multiple levels with contacts among State HHS programs, and consulting organizations to identify, develop and obtain business for Acentra.
· Coordinate with staff directly and indirectly engaged in business development activities. Work with technical staff to prepare client proposal presentations and provide input on contracting and pricing strategies
· Work with the SVP of Sales on reporting illustrations that will be used in board meetings and other presentation to represent pipeline status and overall market segment growth
· Manage and update sales pipeline within the CRM
Required Qualifications/Experience:
· BA Degree (Healthcare, Business, Finance, or Similar) or equivalent experience
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in State or Federal health care industry
· Three-years experience in government contracting, including both technical and business proposal development.
· Must be able to travel up to 50% nationwide
· Experience in identifying, developing, negotiating, and implementing relationships within the target industry segments.
· Proven track record of following the capture process of the sales lifecycle
· Proven track record in assisting senior management in selecting market segmentation and product focus.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
· Knowledge of Medicaid or Medicare markets
