Job Description Summary

Fast-track opportunity with training and resources available for recent college graduates! You will facilitate BD’s Medication Management Solutions (MMS) regional based US business for PharmacyKeeper Software Contract life cycle. Working in partnership within the Commercial Operation team, the MMS Selling organization, and cross-functionally, you will drive best in class, contract offer development and asset life cycle management capabilities within established policy, process, and governance to manage business opportunities and risk appropriately. You will be expected to be in the office 4 day per week, and able to be in the office on additional days should BD’s hybrid work guidelines change in the future.

What Commercial Operations contributes to BD:

To enable commercial strategy and drive profitable sales growth by shifting our mind-set to being more “front office”, by exceeding customer needs and improving customer experience in the areas of contracting, sales operations, business analytics and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead all contracting life cycle activities within specific product lines from contract negotiation to signature including components such as lease vs. buy, software specification, maintenance and service, installation, invoicing, and reconciliation of Software-As-A-Service (SAAS) products.

  • Serve the business unit and strategic customer teams with high quality, responsive service, and negotiation competencies to drive revenue growth.

  • Lead the regional Dispensing sales contracts life cycle including provision of lead information, quote generation, drafting/redlining, negotiation, execution, amendment, extension, and retirement.

  • Review deal profitability and adherence to set pricing strategies and manage approvals based on decision rights matrix.

  • Collaborate closely with Commercial Capital Offer Strategy and Development teams to ensure proposed pricing and respective terms and conditions

  • Oversee post-deal contract life cycle, including management of installation customer database, monitoring billing/revenue performance and maintenance of equipment, supporting sales reporting, and addressing inquiries from sales/customers, etc.

  • Support, administer, and carry out policies, procedures, and processes to harmonize contract negotiation and general provisions, with appropriate flexibility to meet customer/market needs and dynamics. Ensure that risk is mitigated, and regulations are appropriately addressed consistently across all business offerings.

  • Understand financial drivers of specific deals and can communicate to team members how to best structure a deal to meet customer needs while strengthening profitability.

  • Support process improvement projects (templates, standard terms, system updates, etc.) to drive operational efficiencies and standardization throughout the organization.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree required

  • 3-5 years of SAAS contract management, including contract strategy development, negotiations with SAAS products

  • Ability to communicate at executive levels, internally and externally, while building cross functional relationships with internal and external stakeholders to handle complexity and make independent recommendations.

  • Strong understanding of business strategy, pricing and profitability thresholds, General Management, Finance, Regulatory, Compliance, Risk Management and Sales Leadership preferred.

  • Analytical problem solver with strong ethical values and business acumen with the ability to evaluate key business
