Overview:

Sentara Health is hiring for a Certified Medical Assistant/RMA/CCMA/CMA/EMT-B!

 

Sign-on bonus offered to qualified candidates!

 

Status: Full-Time, permanent position (40 hours)

 

Standard working hours: 8 hour shift between 7am to 5pm (with 1 hour lunch), M-F

 

Location: This is a float pool position that will rotate through primary care clinics on an as-needed basis in Harrisonburg, Staunton, Broadway, and Mt. Jackson, VA. Mileage will be reimbursed for travel between the Sentara RMH Medical Center Business Office (1515 Country Club Road, Harrisonburg, VA) and the assigned clinic and back. The schedule will be provided at least a week in advance and the position will handle both clinical and clerical tasks.

 

Overview

The Medical Assistant performs patient care and administrative/clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

 

Education:
High School or Equivalent REQUIRED

Certification/Licensure:
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), EMT Basic Certification (EMT-B) REQUIRED

Experience:

Related experience- Less than a year REQUIRED
