The Test Equipment Directorate is a multi-discipline organization responsible for developing test solutions for all Raytheon products. We are hands-on, designing with the latest technology and tools, and integrate state of the art test solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world. Test Equipment products are located in engineering labs, in the field, and in production environments utilized for weapon system product verification, qualification, test data analysis, and production test solution development. Test Equipment has job opportunities across all phases of the engineering lifecycle, including demonstrations, early engineering tests, design verification tests, production, and sustainment.
Test Equipment is looking for Mechanical Engineer I to be responsible for designing, developing, documenting, and maintaining complex test environment systems for all Raytheon products.
This position is 100% on site in Tucson, Arizona
What You Will Do
- Research, plan, design and develop mechanical test systems in areas including, but not limited to, vibration, thermal, hydraulic, radio frequency, and electro-optical for production testing environments
- Participate in integrating and validating test systems against stringent accuracy and reliability requirements
- Evaluate production installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions
Qualifications You Must Have
- This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
Qualifications We Prefer
- 3.0 cumulative GPA desired
- Completion of 1 internship in a related field
- Education and/or Experience with CAD solid modeling tools and analysis
