Seasonal Trainer

Shift: Monday – Thursday 4:30PM - 3AM

Pay: $18.20/hr

What will you do?

A day in the life of an Training Lead at VF looks a little like this.

This position is responsible for ensuring Operations associates, both temporary and

permanent employees, receive top-of-the-line training. The Trainer must be motivated,

organized, and demonstrate enthusiasm and good communication skills. Along with the

other Trainers, this individual will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day training on all

roles across the distribution center in a fast-paced environment.

Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.

• Onboarding and training new employees, ensuring they understand warehouse
• operations and safety procedures, and maintaining training materials.
• Train and teach all aspects of Operations
• Ensure consistency in training proper procedures for each department
• Facilitate training sessions based on weekly departmental training requirements
• and building needs as well as cross training when needed.
• Facilitate Safety Courses
• Review training compliance reports to help identify training opportunities.
• Identify areas for improvement for associates and provide additional training
• support where needed
• Evaluate associate performances throughout the training program and give recommendations to Operations
• Effectively present and facilitate course content to associates in a positive manner
• Proficiently assist in developing training materials
• Review current Standard Operating Procedures for accuracy and request updates as
• needed
• Ensure all training documents are updated as processes are added or changed
• Develop strategic partnerships with Operations leadership to ensure training meets the needs of operations
• Cross train associates into different areas.
• Help with weekly coaching and give tips to help improve employee performance. • Ensure consistency in training proper procedures for each department
• Creating Training Materials for SOP & Job Aids to support training programs.
• Sensitivity: Internal Use
• Assist with any Continuous Improvements where needed.
• Equipment Certifications: Certifying employees to operate powered industrial
• trucks.

What do you need to succeed?

The foundation skills you will need in this position are:

• Two plus years training/work experience preferred
• Possess organizational and planning skills
• Ability to communicate in a professional manner
• Ability to work under minimum supervision, multi-task, and meet regular deadlines
• Ability to stand, walk, bend and pull for entire 10–12-hour shift
• Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint) preferred
• Ability to present to all levels of employees with confidence
• High attention to detail with the ability to problem solve
• Ability to change with minimal notice
• Ability to build relationships
