Position Overview

Verra Mobility is seeking a Full Stack Java Developer candidate to contribute to the development and quality of our future and existing technology products.  This position will assist in the building of new platforms on cloud technologies that diversify our portfolio as well as enhancing the technical platforms that drive of our core business. Opportunity to work on a Next Generation Greenfield application from the ground up. Enjoy working on challenging projects to shape the development of the application using the cutting-edge modern technologies. The developer must have a passion for developing and launching robust scalable products that are business and customer facing. This position will be part of a dynamic team that is dedicated to delivering applications for high quality, on-time software release leveraging best-of-breed agile software development process. Additionally, this role will report to the Software Development Manager and help implement policies, processes, and procedures to ensure high quality outcomes and achieve communicated delivery goals.

Essential Responsibilities

• Work in agile environment to ensure that all functionality is properly designed, developed, tested, and delivered per prescribed requirements.
• Expertise in application and API development background in object-oriented language such as Java.
• Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Extensive experience working with database design and SQL.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) - EC2, EMR, S3, Athena, Glue, Containers, API, IAM, VPC, Redshift, Serverless components, AWS gateway, RDS (SQL, NOSQL), ML (basic), Analytics etc.
• Actively participate in code reviews to ensure coding standards are enforced and adequate code coverage is maintained.
• Develop and document test plans, automated test cases, regression tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests.
• Integrate automated testing into Azure DevOps Pipelines to ensure quality at build and deployment.
• Hands on experience with Release Management, CI/CD setup.
• Understand the effect of iterative development and release management processes dictated by an Agile Scrum environment.
• Work with product teams, scrum teams, and internal groups to ensure customer requirements are being developed and adequately tested.
• Diagnose and resolve issues in our dev, test, and production environments.
• Provide technical assistance to end users by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or technical questions.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation.
• Mentoring and guide best practices to associate level team members.
