Job Purpose and Impact

The Senior Project Manager, as a subject matter authority, will independently oversee and lead all aspects of their projects and programs within Cargill Protein NA. In Cargill Protein NA, Senior Project Managers serve as the project's integrated project manager. This role is responsible for leading all project management and planning activities with the project team and key business stakeholders. We seek a multifaceted professional who will provide strategic vision, reviewing the project proposal to resolve time frame, funding limitations and procedures for accomplishing the project.

Key Accountabilities

  • Partner with project sponsors to explore and validate project business case.
  • Identify and resolve obstacles to completing project on time and to budget.
  • Adhere to internal and external quality standards.
  • Monitor and report on the status of projects including cost, timing and staffing.
  • Advise on organizing project teams, assign individual responsibilities, develop project schedules and resolve resource requirements.
  • Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience managing complex cross-functional projects including launch of new product to market, brownfield/greenfield expansion, business transformation or strategic projects
  • Ability to travel up to 20%


Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or Food Science
  • Experience as a Project Manager or Functional Leader within growth and strategic projects
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate through written, verbal and presentation skills with multiple levels of stakeholders across Cargill, partner, and customer organizations

 

The expected salary for this position is $140,000-160,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
