The Technical Assistant, Undergraduate Admissions enhances the operational effectiveness of the Office of Admissions. The position increases the quality and quantity of enrolled students by providing superior customer service and evaluates data processing and procedures timely ensuring that information and services are available and accurate.  Participates in events on campus to promote student learning about the college enrollment experience.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • Responds to inquiries of varying complexity from in-person, phone, e-mail and Admissions inbox.
  • Posts, scans, and indexes paper/electronic transcripts, letters of recommendation, emails and other supporting documents to applicant records/recruit records.
  • Captures in appropriate software systems application and prospect data, creates recruit records for prospective students, conducts final review of applications, validates, and processes data changes.
  • Functions as a backup for select staff, including front desk coverage, in their absence.
  • Develops and maintain relationships with students, parents, counselors, campus personnel, and the community.
  • Maintains and protects the academic integrity of the student record in accordance with University, state and federal guidelines.
  • Communicates through electronic means, telecommunications, campus-based programs, and off-campus recruiting events designed to support recruiting and marketing strategies.
  • Participates in University-wide, large-scale events (i.e. Open Houses, Accepted Student Days, etc.) - and other on campus recruitment activities as requested.
  • Participate in campaigns via phone or other communications to both prospect and enrolled students as needed.
  • Other duties as appropriate for the position.    
  • Hybrid work schedule may be available depending upon institutional and operational need.   

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma, Completion of thirty (30) semester hour credits at an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum three years’ experience with data entry into CRM (Slate preferred), call center and customer service.
  • Some work on weekends will be required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Capable of working and communicating effectively in an online environment using standard platforms such as Zoom and Teams.
