Justworks is seeking a Senior Analyst, Quality Assurance for its Payroll Compliance and Tax Research Team. In this role you will have the opportunity to shape the operational workflows around payroll tax and payroll tax reporting to ensure operational and system compliance in support of our Payments and Tax business.

Your Success Profile

What You Will Work On

  • Drive, coordinate and test payroll tax related software updates, identify improvements and validate all updates to source.
  • Create specifications and testing plans, identify and mitigate potential risks, holding our work to high quality standards. 
  • Work with developers to streamline and improve payroll and payroll tax reporting processes in support of our customers and ensure successful implementation in support of our payments and tax engineering teams.
  • Research and analyze system requirements for new tax changes, noting any compliance gaps and providing insight on new rules and new technologies to enhance scalability of operations.
  • Quarterback new operational and compliance system enhancements, including gathering requirements from business stakeholders and once in flight, testing and monitoring progress through completion.
  • Create, maintain, and update dashboards and queries as needed to monitor payroll and payroll tax compliance.
  • Ensure deliverables stay on track and meet acceptance criteria.
  • Maintain user permissions and security, as required, in coordination with other cross-functional teams.
  • Serve as a compliance subject matter expert to troubleshoot payroll and payroll tax issues. 
  • Act as liaison between third-party vendors and Justworks for issue resolutions and interpreting project requirements, as required.
  • Maintain application SOX compliance and coordinate system support for in and out-of-scope processes.
  • Assist with resolving deficiencies that arise in audit and compliance validations.
  • Ensure tax updates are validated and successfully uploaded to all applicable systems in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate latitude for independent decision making.
  • Organize and lead regular validation compliance efforts to ensure completeness and accuracy of exception data being presented for review.
  • Monitor and report on key compliance metrics as well as present the status to stakeholders.
  • Interact and communicate effectively with internal team members and state & government tax agencies.
  • Be a Coach and mentor to other Justworkers and maintain a positive attitude, even in the face of adversity.
  • Document internal processes/controls and develop improvements where appropriate to ensure efficient, scalable, and compliant payroll and payroll tax systems.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
