Description

We are looking for Floater Security Guards to fill assignments for various client sites at Brandon. The security guard (floater) will be playing a crucial role in maintaining the public security.

What is a Floater Security Guard? A Floater Security Guard provides support to multiple sites and can adapt to different work environments easily. For Floater Guards, variety is the spice of life. You may be working at an office tower one week, and the next week you may work at  a community college, then assigned to a condominium or retail mall. Your site is never the same - you will jump from one site to another while gaining knowledge about each one. Hours are flexible, and you can work up to 40 hours/week.

What does a Floater Security Guard in Brandon do ?

• Maintain a safe and secure environment
• Access control of entryways and exit points using equipment at your disposal
• Enforce property regulations and city bi-laws on the client's site
• Patrol and monitor premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
• Protect the client's assets relative to theft, assault, fire, and other safety issues
• Complete daily reports and incident reports
• Provide excellent customer service

Qualifications to become a Floater Security Guard in Brandon?

• Valid  Manitoba security guard licence
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year or more security-related experience
• First aid and CPR certification preferred
• Good communication skills (written/oral)
• Driver’s license and car (asset)
• Excellent customer service and resourcefulness 
• Good adaptability
