Job Details:

Purpose

The purpose of this position is to support the sharing of networks, resources, and strategies for improving continuing education and training for deaf people.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain the customer service platform, including contact, task, communication, and workflow management, and generate reports on community relations and engagement.

  • Ensure prompt and professional handling of community inquiries, including providing information, resources, or referrals to appropriate staff members when needed to ensure seamless communication.

  • Support maintenance and development of community relationships for technical assistance activities including collaborating with internal teams, conducting outreach and follow-ups.

  • Support developing and disseminating online learning content to ensure efficient and positive user experiences.

  • Oversee and maintain professional development approvals for technical assistance activities.

  • Manage the digital badge process and certificate pathways. Lead the development, design, and dissemination process. Troubleshoot platform and user experience issues; maintain systems for tracking.

Required Qualifications

  • At least five years combined experience working in one or more of the following settings: national, state, local agencies and/or higher education serving deaf people.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of postsecondary student services systems including disability services, academic support, and career services.

  • Experienced in managing customer service operations, project management, and community outreach.

  • Candidate must strong organizational skills, evidence of ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects, independently and collaboratively where needed.

  • At least 3 years working with deaf communities.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Student Affairs, Rehabilitation Counseling, or other related fields.

  • Beginner proficiency in ASL skills or willingness to learn.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Seven to ten years combined experience working in one or more of the following settings: national, state, local agencies and/or higher education serving deaf people.

  • Experience with listserv management.

  • Competence working within multiple online learning platforms, troubleshooting learning management systems, and digital badge programs.

  • Experience managing client data, maintain accurate records, and creating reports.

  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.

  • At least 5 years working with deaf communities.

  • Masters’ degree in Education, Counseling, Student Affairs, Rehabilitation Counseling, or other related fields.

  • Conversational proficiency in American Sign Language or willingness to learn.

Salary Range

$58,000 - $64,000
