Purpose
The purpose of this position is to support the sharing of networks, resources, and strategies for improving continuing education and training for deaf people.
Responsibilities
Oversee and maintain the customer service platform, including contact, task, communication, and workflow management, and generate reports on community relations and engagement.
Ensure prompt and professional handling of community inquiries, including providing information, resources, or referrals to appropriate staff members when needed to ensure seamless communication.
Support maintenance and development of community relationships for technical assistance activities including collaborating with internal teams, conducting outreach and follow-ups.
Support developing and disseminating online learning content to ensure efficient and positive user experiences.
Oversee and maintain professional development approvals for technical assistance activities.
Manage the digital badge process and certificate pathways. Lead the development, design, and dissemination process. Troubleshoot platform and user experience issues; maintain systems for tracking.
Required Qualifications
At least five years combined experience working in one or more of the following settings: national, state, local agencies and/or higher education serving deaf people.
Demonstrated knowledge of postsecondary student services systems including disability services, academic support, and career services.
Experienced in managing customer service operations, project management, and community outreach.
Candidate must strong organizational skills, evidence of ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects, independently and collaboratively where needed.
At least 3 years working with deaf communities.
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Student Affairs, Rehabilitation Counseling, or other related fields.
Beginner proficiency in ASL skills or willingness to learn.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
Seven to ten years combined experience working in one or more of the following settings: national, state, local agencies and/or higher education serving deaf people.
Experience with listserv management.
Competence working within multiple online learning platforms, troubleshooting learning management systems, and digital badge programs.
Experience managing client data, maintain accurate records, and creating reports.
Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
At least 5 years working with deaf communities.
Masters’ degree in Education, Counseling, Student Affairs, Rehabilitation Counseling, or other related fields.
Conversational proficiency in American Sign Language or willingness to learn.
Salary Range
$58,000 - $64,000
