Corebridge is seeking an innovative and resourceful thinking Business Applications Manager, who takes ownership of work. The Business Applications Manager will work with multiple stakeholders; make sound decisions using data, analysis, experience, and judgment. The Business Applications Manager will be a self-starter and a resource driving powerful outcomes for our client.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the illustration calc services /applications. The calc services support illustrations, third party applications and certain policy administration processes such as policy print and annual statements.
- Manages project integration, scope, timelines, and quality.
- Will work with internal and external partners to scope and prioritize modifications and enhancements to the User Interfaces and calc services.
- Responsible for creating a project plan for the agreed upon system changes, communicating, and executing the project plan with the illustration team, monitoring development, QA & UAT testing, and defect resolution activities to ensure the system changes are deployed to Production on time and with a high level of accuracy.
- Responsible for leading special projects related to Legal/Compliance state regulations which would provide support to new company initiatives, compliance inquiries, third Party administrators and governance.
- Communicates project status, risk concerns, and issues associated with each to the correct level(s) within the project structure and the business partners to ensure that the project outcomes are achieved as defined within budget and on time.
What we are looking for
- College degree or three to five years of experience in a research and data analyst role in a business support environment.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities and adjust work accordingly to meet target deadlines.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and complex Life Insurance products
- Broad understanding of the legal and regulatory environments surrounding insurance Illustrations and regulations
- Knowledge of insurance systems, especially systems such as ALIP and Vantage systems
- Ability to leverage programs like Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to review data, create analysis and share findings in writing to both internal and external parties.
- Requires a demonstrated record of initiative, adaptability, real-time problem solving and decision making.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication and business writing skills is a must.
- Ability to work with limited supervision and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- An individual who is innovative and forward thinking and proactively identifies and champions improvement projects.
