Maintenance Technician I

Our partner is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician I for a position based in Omaha, NE, with working hours scheduled from Sunday through Thursday, 10 pm to 7 am. This role encompasses general repair and maintenance tasks related to building and warehouse facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Undertake repair, installation, and relocation of conveyor belts and warehouse racking, collaborating with others for objects weighing up to 200 pounds.
• Execute general maintenance on equipment, including simple forklifts, conveyors, dock levelers, and other machinery.
• Respond promptly to maintenance calls, dismantle equipment for proper repair, and verify corrections before task completion.
• Perform general painting of walls, furniture, and miscellaneous items as required.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Complete work order documentation and submit to the Maintenance Team Leader in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations during all work activities.
• Climb ladders of all types to access roofs and ceilings.
• Operate and handle various hand and power tools.
• Efficiently use hand and electrical tools.
• Communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrate proficiency in operating equipment as per OTC certification standards.
• Provide own hand tools.

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience: A minimum of one year's experience in any aspect of manual labor and maintenance is preferred.
• Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Driver's License: A valid driver's license and a driving record in accordance with standards for company vehicle operation are required.
• Physical Abilities: Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly, walk frequently, use elevators, climb open grate stairways, and work rotational weekend shifts while on call for the entire weekend.

Description of Working Conditions: This role involves working in a fulfillment warehouse and office environment with variations in temperature, light, and noise. Conditions may include cramped, dirty/dusty, cold, or hot environments. Climbing of open steel grate stairways and/or conveyor "crossovers" may be necessary. The individual may work outside the building in varied cold and hot temperatures.
