The Associate Director, HH-US Strategy and Planning (S&P) plays a crucial role within the Strategy & Planning team, which is responsible for providing strategic direction to the business to frame choices that have tangible operational and financial impact towards realizing our HH-US aspiration, working in close partnership with the Business Units, Revenue-Enabling Organizations, and key stakeholders across the enterprise, to include USMLT (US Market Leadership Team).

As a member of the Strategy and Planning (S&P) team, this position partners with business leads to develop long – and short-term strategy plans. It’s also responsible to analyze and incorporate external trends to shape our evolving business model, ensuring our company remains relevant and adaptable in a rapidly changing environment.

Our team gleans insights, understands, informs, and provides recommendations relating to pivotal external healthcare and macro trends that could impact the US Market, and translate how the evolution of the dynamic healthcare and macro environment should shape our strategic choices, commercial model evolution, and transformation priorities.

This position reports to the Director, US Human Health Market Strategy & Planning.

Primary Responsibilities include and may not be limited to:

  • Support the development of short – and long-term strategy (Strategic Roadmap) to guide the US market’s ongoing commercial transformation.

  • Lead and facilitate strategic discussions to include but not limited to external trends, competitor strategies, potential disruptors and translate these into actionable strategic priorities/recommendations.

  • Partner on high-priority strategic initiatives that will drive transformational impact and position the US market for future success.

  • Work with corporate & global strategy, to ensure tight integration with the US Market.

  • Act as a strategic partner with Business Units, Brand teams and Revenue-Enabling Organizations to help them understand the impact of macro trends and business implications.

  • In collaboration with Marketing, Finance, and other revenue-enabling functions, lead the evolution of LROP and the Annual Profit Planning process for the US Market

  • Build effective and sustainable partnerships with internal stakeholders, as well as leading external organizations, to ensure that our Company's point of view is well-rounded and represented in the appropriate healthcare dialogue.

  • Lead cross-functional projects that aim to inform or build above-brand / business unit strategies, capabilities, and solutions that will tangibly enhance our commercial operating model.

Position Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree.

  • Minimum 7 years of work experience in roles, such as Commercial Strategy Development, Marketing, Sales, Access/Policy, Commercial Operations, Finance, and/or Organizational Transformation.

  • Strong Strategic Thinking skills, to include analyzing and assessing situations to anticipate implications, vision and goal setting, long-term planning, effective decision-making, and develop innovative and forward-thinking solutions to achieve goals.

  • Strong executive presence, including advanced written and verbal skills.

  • Leadership, adaptability and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to analyze external and industry trends, form educated opinions and deliver tangible recommendations to key stakeholders.

  • Understanding of US/Global Healthcare ecosystem.

  • Energized by working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment in strong partnership with peers and key stakeholders, both within and outside the US market.

  • Strong vision for the future, with the ability to inspire change, translate data into business implications, gain support, and partner to drive organizational transformation and operating model evolution.

  • Strong project management and execution skills.

  • Ability to lead without direct influence.

  • Demonstrates high degree of ethics and integrity.

  • Strong fluency in written and spoken English.

  • Ability to work hybrid and come into the North Wales (Upper Gwynedd), PA office at least 3 days per week.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or MPH degree.

  • Experience in US Commercial Strategy roles within the biopharmaceutical/pharmaceutical or life sciences consulting industry.
