Appraisal Associate

POSITION PURPOSE:  

 

Learns and assists in the Appraisal department, providing support to the Appraiser and lending departments in documentation and evaluation activities and projects, as well as in ordering appraisals.    

 

DUTIES, SCOPE, RESPONSIBLIITIES & AUTHORITY:   

 

Responsible for daily work and project activities related to Appraisal.  May be asked to travel to assist with inspections and photos.  Works closely with Appraiser to identify areas of improvement and efficiency for the department and bank. Assists Credit Administration, Consumer Lending, and Commercial Lending departments as needed and as time permits.   

Daily direction on work will come from supervisory staff.  Reports to the Appraisal Officer.    

Responsible for compliance with all banking regulations which are applicable to the job, including Bank Secrecy Act and information security initiatives. 

 

Qualifications

Develops and expands technical, communication, and time management skills.  Attention to detail and accuracy in reports and documentation is required.  Strong analytical skills are necessary.  Dependability and strong work ethics are required.  Computer skills are needed to learn and work in the systems necessary for the position.  Excellent customer service skills needed.
