The Department of Neurology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) and Harvard Medical School (HMS) is recruiting 2 full-time Staff Neuropsychologists. The neuropsychologist will provide therapeutically oriented assessments through the Cognitive Neurology Unit (CNU) and potentially assist in running cognitive remediation groups through the CNU's Brain Fit Club. Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. The CNU is an outpatient multidisciplinary clinic that includes clinicians and researchers in neurology, neuropsychology, neuropsychiatry, social work, nursing, and neurorehabilitation, as well as instructors in meditation and cognitive remediation. The CNU is devoted to the evaluation and treatment of individuals with a wide variety of conditions including neurological illnesses and neurodegenerative conditions (e.g., movement disorders, concussion/traumatic brain injury, cerebral vascular disease, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease and related dementias), learning disabilities and attention deficit disorder, and other neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability). In this capacity, responsibilities involve provision of comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations in an outpatient setting. Data from the evaluations provide a platform for the development of personalized interventions to improve each individual's behavioral, cognitive and brain health. As a member of the neuropsychology team, the staff neuropsychologist will have the opportunity to work with trainees in neuropsychology at multiple levels, though predominantly at the practicum level. The staff neuropsychologist is eligible for full and generous benefits. A Harvard Medical School appointment at the rank of instructor, assistant, or associate professor would be commensurate with the record of accomplishments. Applicant Requirements: Completion of a doctoral degree from an APA/CPA-accredited program, an APA/CPA-accredited pre-doctoral internship program A formal two-year post-doctoral fellowship in neuropsychology (completed prior to start date) is required. Applicants must be licensed or license-eligible in the state of Massachusetts. Eligibility for board certification by ABPP in the specialty of Clinical Neuropsychology. Candidates who are not already board certified in Clinical Neuropsychology will be encouraged to pursue and obtain board certification once hired.
