Senior Cloud Engineer (m/f/d)

Deine Aufgaben

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure on Azure using infrastructure-as-code 
• Architect multi-tier cloud-native applications using PaaS services (AKS, API Gateway, Azure Functions, Azure Static Web Apps, etc.)
• Select and integrate core Azure services and tools for platform telemetry, security, and automation.
• Build / enhance services to operate
• Operate, monitor, and maintain infrastructure, with a strong focus on Azure services
• Setup and maintain Azure VMs 
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform and Ansible
• Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting systems (Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana)  
• Troubleshoot issues across systems, networks, and applications to ensure platform reliability
• Manage containerized workloads using Kubernetes, including deployments and scaling 
• Support and secure UAV-to-platform communication infrastructure (e.g., routing, tunneling, firewalls)
• Implement and manage identity and access management solutions using Entra ID 
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure efficient CI/CD pipelines and system integrations
• Contribute to defining operational best practices, documentation, and team processes

Dein Profil

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or related engineering and operational roles
• Strong expertise with Microsoft Azure and modern cloud infrastructure practices, including Kubernetes
• Proficient in infrastructure automation and scripting using Terraform, Ansible, Bash, and Python
• Solid understanding of identity and access management concepts, especially OIDC using Entra ID (Azure AD)
• In-depth knowledge of networking fundamentals: OSI model, routing, tunneling (Tun/Tap), firewalls, and packet filtering 
• Hands-on experience with observability / monitoring such as Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana
• Solid operational experience with JIRA Software / JIRA Service management
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities in highly distributed systems
• Proactive mindset with ownership of building and evolving operational processes
• Passionate about automation, system optimization, and enabling engineering efficiency
• Comfortable working in a fast-evolving, cross-disciplinary tech environment
• Effective communicator and collaborative team player
• Fluency in English; German language skills are a plus
