Division Information 

The PACCAR Technical Center provides engineering excellence to the truck, engine, and winch divisions of PACCAR Inc through innovative product development and testing. The Technical Center is located in the Skagit Valley about 65 miles north of Seattle, Washington. 

 

Requisition Summary 

The General Accounting Manager is responsible for working closely with the capital budget team, including a General Accountant, to support capital requests, tracking of assets-under-construction and asset implementation. This role is also responsible for overseeing the Accounts Payable Supervisor and supporting the Assistant Controller with forecast and budget preparation, among other accounting and administrative duties.

 

Location : Mt. Vernon, WA  (PTC) 

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Support capital budget process across PTC
  • Review fixed asset packets and prepare depreciation forecasts
  • Work closely with managers to maintain monthly department forecasts
  • Analyze monthly department spending and prepare variance analysis
  • Oversee and support the Accounts Payable Supervisor
  • Maintain SAP authority matrix and review Concur authority matrix
  • Support travel expense accounting and Concur-user training
  • Review month-end journal entries and reconciliations
  • Prepare complex balance sheet reconciliations
  • Quarterly/annual RFI preparation
  • Staff development and mentorship
  • Other special projects as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and internal controls
  • Excellent analytical and technical account
