Description

The Mail Operations Pharmacy Technician 1 accurately fills and counts medications. The Mail Operations Pharmacy Technician 1 performs basic administrative/clerical/operational/customer support/computational tasks. Typically works on routine and patterned assignments.

Responsibilities

Earn $1,000 hiring bonus!  Bonus is paid after 180 days of employment; you must be employed until that date to be eligible to receive the payment.

Under the direction of a pharmacist, perform pharmacy related functions in compliance with department policies and procedures while providing optimal pharmaceutical care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with local, state, federal, and Company regulations.
  • Prepacking of stock including preparation of equipment and pre-pack labels, packaging and labeling of product for bar-code scanning, and quality control procedures.
  • Stock control functions including stock level audits, expiry date checking, stock file maintenance, and maintenance of internal stock movement.
  • General cleaning of work area and general maintenance of equipment and materials.
  • Maintains knowledge of loss prevention techniques.

Required qualifications:

  • Experience working in a Pharmacy, warehouse, or mail order environment.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of medication brand and generic names, medical terminology, and calculations.
  • 6 months pharmacy experience
  • Proficient use of MS office
  • National Pharmacy Technician certification

Location: Onsite at Enclara Pharmacia, Inc. 512 Elmwood Ave., Sharon Hill, PA 19079

Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:30am-6pm EST, with 1 Saturday included to your schedule per month. (Saturday schedule: flexibility to work 9:30am-6pm EST or 9am-7:30pm EST)
