Senior Engineer (m/f/d) Modeling & Simulation - Surgical Robotics

Some domestic and international travel may be required as necessary although this would be less than 10% of the time.<p></p><p><b><span>Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:</span></b></p><ul><li>Develop computational models of robotic assemblies</li><li>Assess model credibility, drive model improvement and validation</li><li>Analyze performance, reliability and safety of robotic assisted surgery systems</li><li>Define, operate and evaluate prototypes</li><li>Enhance and maintain a suite of simulation and data analysis tools</li><li>Collaborate with internal customers determine customer needs and define model use cases</li><li>Contribute to design decisions, requirements breakdown, testing and manufacturing strategy</li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Required Knowledge and Experience:</span></b></p><ul><li>A Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) and 4 years of relevant experience; or an advanced degree and 2 years of relevant experience</li><li>Experience in analyzing designs and creating models with Simulation Software, like Matlab, Simulink, Ansys, LS-Dyna, Python</li><li>Experience in multibody dynamics and/or structural analysis</li><li>Professional written and spoken working proficiency with English, German language skills are beneficial</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p></p><p><b>Physical Job Requirements</b><br/><br/>The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position. </p><p></p><p></p><p></p><h1><b>Benefits &amp; Compensation</b></h1><p><b>Medtronic offers a competitive Salary and flexible Benefits Package</b><br/>A commitment to our employees lives at the core of our values.
