Job Description

What you get to do in this role: 

The Senior Manager, Strategic Finance – Topline is a critical leadership role responsible for planning, forecasting and reporting related to ServiceNow’s key revenue related metrics, including, but not limited to Revenue and backlog / remaining performance obligations. 

Reporting to the Director, Strategic Finance – Topline and Bookings, this person will lead a business-critical team providing financial visibility and business insights to Servicenow leadership, including key components of the company’s financial model and long-range plan.

  • Own the company’s long range and in year forecasting and reporting process for bookings, revenue and related metrics, enabling leadership to make critical decisions about the future of the company
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Finance leadership to ensure that forecasts and plans reflect the best available information to support the most accurate forecasts
  • Work closely with Investor relations and senior leadership to set long term and in year guidance for investors and analysts
  • Collaborate with teams across sales, finance, accounting and operations to create and improve systems and processes to support the forecast as well as analytics and insights to enable decision making across the business.
  • Drive automation and improve existing planning and reporting processes

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

  • 10+ years of experience within the Finance function or with relevant experience in strategy/management consulting, investment banking, or corporate finance with a focus in software preferred
  • 2+ years of people management experience
  • Significant experience with sophisticated bookings and revenue modeling and reporting in a software as a services business
  • Significant experience with Revenue and cash flow accounting
  • Highly analytical, fact driven, process orientated, but comfortable challenging the status quo and setting new strategic/operational direction
  • Deep understanding of corporate finance, financial accounting, and financial analysis
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills, including strong communication and interpersonal abilities, the ability to distil complex processes into digestible terms is a must.
  • Understanding of data modeling and analysis, and experience with automation and machine learning supported forecast tools a strong plus
  • Advanced experience in MS excel, SAP applications, Anaplan, BI applications required
  • MBA or relevant graduate degree from top-tier institution or similar academic experience

 

FD21

For positions in the Bay Area, we offer a base pay of $149,100 - $260,900, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts
