Summary

Our mission is to provide compassionate consulting services to local, state, federal and industry clients, active in disaster response, recovery, and preparedness. We will be on time, on target, and on budget with the services aligned to the evolving threats and hazards facing our nation.

The Liaison will play a critical role overseeing all activities involved with the disaster response supporting and communicating needs for the community.

Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities

• Assist on portions of projects and ensure all aspects are completed as outlined in the contract scope of work and timeline.
• Attend meetings and conference calls with clients.
• Maintain currency of and compliance with applicable state and federal policies, procedures, and guidance documents for applicable roles.
• Oversee, coordinate, and manage specified needs at the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) or assigned emergency site.
• Provide situational awareness between the State and county responses.
• Support county operations as needed.
• Relay critical information to the SERT.
• Validate ground reports and critical needs.
• Communicate with the following: section chiefs, outside agencies operating within your boundaries, surrounding jurisdictions and agencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience and Education Required

• Bachelor’s degree in emergency management, public safety, or a related field.
• Completed NQS Type III Liaison Officer PTB or equivalent experience documentation
• 3-5+ years professional experience in emergency management.
• 1-2+ years’ experience in an emergency management liaison role or comparable.
• Experience working in an Emergency Operations Center.
• Experience and knowledge of working within the Incident Command Framework at state or federal levels.
• Capable of critical decision-making in a highly charged and dynamic environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel.

Experience and Education Preferred

• Applicable Certifications:
  • Certified Emergency Manager (CEM)
  • International Associate of Emergency Managers certification
• Proficient with Salesforce.
• Proficient with Web EOC
• ICS position-specific certification preferred.

Expected Hours of Work

Schedule may vary and require work on evenings and weekends and dependability and punctuality are paramount.

Travel Requirements

Deployment to client sites for extended periods of time is required.

Physical Demands

• Mobility required on-site with clients.
• Sitting or standing for hours at a time.
• Ability to work at a computer for prolonged periods of time as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively throughout the day and as needed.

Additional Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must pass company and any applicable client background check, ACDC background check, O365 basic skills assessment and reference check upon offer of employment.

• Eligibility to work in the United States is required.
