Reports To: Athletic Director
Job Type: 2026/2027 Season Contract
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must possess high school diploma
- Extensive experience with the game of golf
- Successful past coaching experience preferred
- Cap 1 and/or Cap 2 Certification (can be done after hire date)
- First Aid/CPR Certified
- Strong organizational skills
- Must be able to coordinate/teach golf skills to build a competitive varsity program
- Strong personal/social skills, with the ability to effectively communicate using a variety of media
Preferences:
- Experience and or willingness to organize/assist with home meets at HS levels
- Possesses knowledge of the current MHSAA rules and regulations
- Willingness to build meaningful positive relationships with staff and student body
- Possesses the ability to motivate athletes / coaches to work toward program philosophy/goals
Job Description:
- Coordinate in-season and out-of-season practice/conditioning opportunities for grades 9-12
- Develop program philosophy and curriculum that builds upon itself from grades 9-12
- Develop cohesive coaching relationships that works to develop all athletes from grades 9-12
- Teach and instruct all aspects of golf, while working to develop and emphasize positive character traits in all athletes
Provide coaching, encouragement, and guidance to all athletes and staff in the program.
Salary/Benefits: Per VBCEA/PPEA, MEA-NEA contract Schedule C
