Claims Assistant - Liability - Sun Prairie, WI - HybridPRIMARY PURPOSE:
Sedgwick is now seeking a proactive, driven and experienced Claims Assistant to support our Liability Adjusters. This exciting career opportunity will provide you with the opportunity to utilize your high-level administration skills to progress your career at Sedgwick.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sets up and enters new claims into claims management system.
- Inputs and reviews notes/diaries in claims management system as instructed.
- Processes payments.
- Processes mail; handles filing, faxing and photocopying.
- Manage customer and client enquiries and provide positive and effective solutions, including complex claim scenarios
- Providing proactive administrative support to our loss adjusters
- Professional written correspondence, including reports and emails
About you:
- Strong time management skills including the ability to multitask
- Ability to work autonomously and in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced skills in Microsoft office will be strongly considered
- Demonstrated experience in a customer service environment (including account management) with the ability to undertake objection handling
- Positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to a high performing team and culture
- Ability to work proactively with the team to make sure all daily tasks are completed
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Licensing
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience
Six (6) months of clerical or customer service experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Skills & Knowledge
- Excellent oral and written communication
- PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
