Position Overview:

The US International Tax Senior Director will be pivotal in the corporate tax function, primarily engaging in international income taxation, including compliance, provision, planning, and transfer pricing. You will also be assisting the Vice President – Tax with developing tax strategy, creating governance, and executing process improvements. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in international tax, a commitment to excellence, be a team player, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, growing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and manage U.S. international returns, forms, and disclosures that are required, including but not limited to Form 5471s, 5472s, 8858s, 1118s

  • Review quarterly and annual U.S. international calculations, including GILTI, BEAT, FDII, Subpart F, E&P calculations, and FTC

  • Develop and maintain global transfer pricing policies, documentation, and compliance strategies

  • Provide advice and direction on tax implications on international business issues, including permanent establishment, acquisitions, divestitures, expansions, mergers, and withholding tax

  • Assist in monitoring and executing intercompany transactions to ensure compliance with tax regulations

  • Responsible for monitoring legislative and regulatory tax law developments and analyze/interpret changes to tax laws

  • Support international compliance, including CbCR and Pillar 2

  • Identify, develop, and implement US international tax planning opportunities

  • Support research and resolution of various tax audits and notices

  • Assist with special tax projects

  • Proactively identify and implement process improvements that promote efficiency and accuracy

  • Communicate and develop relationships with business and finance personnel as well as outside consultants

  • Lead and mentor tax team member(s), including providing guidance and support to ensure ongoing development 

  • Challenge the status quo and build processes and implement improvements

Education/Experience:

  • 10+ years of tax compliance experience

  • BS/BA in accounting or finance

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Strong knowledge of OneSource software or aptitude to be trained

  • Strong background of international tax

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Willingness to pivot and learn

The following are also preferred:

  • CPA

  • MBA, MST or JD;

  • Big 4 experience
