Position Overview: Our insurance agency seeks a motivated and dedicated team player to join us as a Commercial Lines Insurance Account Manager. In this role you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts, providing exceptional client service and support, and ensuring the continued success of our clients’ businesses. The position requires a focus on habitational property and general liability, as well as professional liabilities, workers compensation, and other risk-related areas. The position will involve direct communication with insurance carriers, insurance brokers, and the insured clients. Prior experience with successful coverage bindings is also required.

Work Location: This is a full-time, in office position working to support clients from our Lawrenceville, GA. office. After training and demonstrating success meeting expectations, the position can be converted to a hybrid work situation.

Professional Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate client records and client facing documents withing the agency management system and related electronic files
• Provide superior client service and develop and sustain strong client relationships to maintain a high retention rate for existing accounts
• Review and market all renewal activities and perform sales-focused activities to attract new client business
• Generate new sales in commercial lines with a concentration in habitational property and general liabilities, professional liabilities, workers compensation, and other risks
• Process and perform timely follow up activity on all client related policy changes, billings, premium financing and non-payments
• Communicate and interact regularly with insurance carriers, brokers, and insureds
• Bind coverage in a timely manner, ensuring all bound coverage is accurate and up to date
• Multi-task effectively to handle various responsibilities and maintain a consistent workflow
• Serve as a trusted advisor and provide satisfactory answers to an insured’s questions

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree in a business-related field
• 3+ years relevant insurance experience with an independent insurance agency
• Active Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance broker license
• Strong working knowledge and understanding of all Commercial Lines insurance coverages, policy types and industry specific requirements
• Habitational property insurance coverage experience is preferred
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite tools (Outlook, Word, Excel)
