The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As an Advanced Quality Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Lead the development of process risk management per ISO14971 for assigned projects.
  • Provide quality engineering services for new and existing medical device products.
  • Assist in failure investigations and problem resolution.
  • Provide feedback to product development and manufacturing.

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher of Science in Biomedical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Three (3) years of experience as a Quality Engineer for a medical device company conducting root cause investigations on medical device products in a private, public, government or military environment as well as working for risk documentation, reviewing and approving process validation reports, verification and validation reports
  • Three (3) years of experience as a Quality Engineer for a medical device company reviewing and approving updates to quality system or design history documents and labelling for new and existing products based on United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations and recognized quality standards, including ISO14971 in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Master’s degree in in Biomedical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Skills include project management

Work location: Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to San Antonio, TX at least 2 days per week)
