Financial Accountant - 12 month contract

This position will be a key member of a cross-functional, multi-national, accounting team responsible for critical accounting areas, statutory accounting, and ad hoc reporting. Including detailed reviews on key income and expense accounts.</li><li>Financial Analysis - Detailed analytical review of financial data and presenting to senior leadership on the financial performance of group companies.</li><li>Financial Reporting - Responsible for quarterly board reporting and annual financial statements under local GAAP. Including assistance with external audit process.</li><li>Projects - Partner with the business leaders, tax advisors and finance colleagues to deliver on group intellectual property projects.</li><li>Tax – Support the group on all VAT and corporate tax affairs (compliance, computations, returns, payments etc.)</li><li>Treasury – Oversee working capital (financing requirements) and operating cash flows (including intercompany settlement process).</li><li>Ah hoc reporting - Support with regulatory, statutory, and other ah hoc reporting for the group (e.g. stakeholder queries) as required. </li><li>Group Support - Work as part of the broader finance team (locally and globally), and a commitment to achieving deadlines and goals as set out by management and business leaders.</li><li>Improvements - Provide support in continuously identifying more efficient and effective ways of operating.</li><li>Compliance - Ensure compliance with corporate policies, SOX procedures, local/US GAAP and local statutory regulations (as applicable) regarding financial matters.</li></ul><p><br/><u>What you will need to have:</u></p><ul><li>Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA etc.)</li><li>Minimum two to three years PQE experience in a similar role.</li><li>Experience in tech industry with an understanding of intellectual property accounting, royalty income and related tax computations.</li><li>Good communication skills when dealing with Stakeholders.</li><li>Understanding of ERP systems, preferably Oracle.</li><li>Microsoft Excel to a high standard; Oracle reporting user experience desirable.</li></ul><p></p><p><u>What makes you stand out:</u></p><ul><li>Experience in the tech industry with an understanding of intellectual property accounting, royalty income and related tax computations.</li></ul><p></p><p>About Mercer</p><p><a href="https://www.mercer.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Mercer</a> believes in building brighter futures by redefining the world of work, reshaping retirement and investment outcomes, and unlocking real health and well-being.
