Are you interested in working for a company that makes a difference? If so, Keystone Human Services / Keystone Institute has an exciting opportunity for a Learning & Development Associate. This position requires monthly travel to the Harrisburg, PA office or other workshop locations.
The Learning and Development Associate is responsible to work closely with the Associate Director to teach and develop KHS’s workforce to grow in their understanding, capacity strength, and implementation of our vision, mission and values in an effort to harness the power of education to impact the lives of the people we support and craft effective change and growth across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manages the Educator Development Curriculum internally throughout Keystone
• Develops educational initiatives within the Keystone Institute, including the development of the annual events calendar
• Leads workshops, retreats, and other educational events in the area of Social Role Valorization (SRV) and organization mission and vision
• Conducts presentations, leads small groups and teams, and provides informal teaching and planning
• Identifies and mentors SRV leaders across the organization
• Consults with leadership, programs, and teams to provide guidance on the implementation of SRV principles
• Assists and supports all areas of the organization to meet objectives regarding employee development in Social Role Valorization, Person Centered Approaches, Passing and organizational values
• Develops presentation materials, new workshops, educational curriculum
• Develops positive and productive relationships with staff, leaders, consultants, external professionals, and others
• Takes a lead role in development, marketing, and materials design for educational initiatives, events and workshops
• Develops interactive educator resources, post-workshop exercises, and forums for discussion related to organizational values, vision, Social Role Valorization, and related topics
Requirements:
High school Diploma. Bachelor’s degree in human services, adult education or similar field strongly preferred.
A minimum of five (5) years’ experience teaching Social Role Valorization/Person Centered Planning and other topics related to community inclusion and integration.
Demonstrated experience with graphic facilitation, teaching and consultation.
Must possess SRV teaching credential or have the ability to attain credential within three (3) years.
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing and to be able to read, interpret and apply written information.
Must possess excellent presentation skills, able to present to groups of various sizes.
Ability to learn and apply advanced computer skills, including the use of software and other web-based systems.
Ability to pass required background checks and clearances.
Valid driver’s license and daily access to privately maintained and insured vehicle.
