This position is responsible for leading and managing the full lifecycle of software development and enhancement projects, ensuring alignment with business requirements and strategic goals. Key responsibilities include overseeing project schedules and budgets, managing daily activities of the development team in an Agile/Scrum environment, and making strategic technical decisions. The role involves fostering effective relationships with business departments, analyzing business requirements, mentoring team members, and leveraging the latest technologies and best practices. The individual must remain composed under pressure, providing leadership and support to deliver high-quality software solutions Responsibilities: 
  • Participate and lead the project management of software development and enhancement lifecycle stages including envisioning; specifications & design, application configuration, database design; programming, quality assurance, testing and implementation, and ongoing maintenance and support. (SDLC)
  • Develop, manage, and track project schedules and budgets
  • Manage the day-to-day activities for the application development team within an Agile/Scrum environment. Approve all software code changes that are deployed into production.
  • Make decisions in terms of any development strategies at the technical level, publish recommendations and advise on related best practices
  • Develop long and short-range hardware/software plans to support the MMNA’s business requirements.
  • Develop and manage effective working relationships and consult with business departments to coordinate business requirements, identify projects, forecast staff, communicate project status, and resolve project issues.
  • Analyze business requirements, in the context of software and integration design and produce accurate work estimates for the software development team.
  • Mentor team members in design and coding techniques as well as time management and manage contract personnel.
  • Provide a leadership role in the design, development, implementation and support of software solutions.
  • Utilize the latest advancements in code generation tools, software development frameworks and design patterns and cloud-based services.
  • Provide research and recommendations for new approaches for software development technology including hardware, software, and productivity tools.
  • Calmly respond in highly stressful business conditions.
Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years exempt-level business programming experience including two years project management experience in major software development projects, Production Support, Maintenance or enhancement projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of Business Application System Design/Analysis techniques.
  • Advanced knowledge of System development methodologies.
  • Advanced knowledge of IS project planning, estimating and management procedures and techniques.
  • Moderate knowledge of techniques used in selection/implementation of software tools.
