Job Description
What You Will Be Doing?
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to join our company as the Director of Quality. The Director of Quality will create and maintain a quality culture throughout the business and region.
This person will oversee and build the entire Quality organization and process in our region, implementing process improvements and robust systems.
Main Activities and Responsibilities:
- Build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, including leaders from Operations, Sales, R&D, supply chain, Legal and Finance, to ensure QA is adding value to the organization and enhancing business results.
- Recruit, train and manage a team of high-performing QA staff to drive continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- Develop data-driven and customer-focused capabilities that result in measurable improvements in product, process and supplier quality, customer support, responsiveness, and product reliability.
- Responsible for assuring that customer quality requirements have been adequately defined to permit appropriate quality planning and implementation and that the quality requirements have been met.
- Identify recurring trouble spots by maintaining ongoing connections, contact and visibility. Install the right systems and culture to create a structured and disciplined quality approach while building the proper processes with internal and external partners.
- Refine the Quality Management System and partner with upper management.
- Develop and maintain actionable KPIs related to quality. Provide access to transparent reporting of these KPIs.
- Develop, establish, and maintain quality assurance programs, policies, and processes, conform to company policies.
- Ensure world-class quality levels are established at the product design stage and quality system is focused on process control working in conjunction with engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Assures quality products, both hardware and software as well as systems processes by managing the end-to-end testing of our solution - Ensure that the solution meets its business requirements and detects defects early in the development cycle.
- Assess contract manufacturing and supplier quality requirements and evaluation methods, drive root cause resolution for all supplier component failures.
Qualifications
What's Required?
- Minimum of 5 years of experience of relevant experience, QA management or QA leadership positions in a Biotech and/or pharmaceutical industry, automotive industry, or other relevant industries managing high-volume production systems
- High-growth-potential future leader, capable of reporting to senior management as well as driving the proper data-driven risk assessment conversations and decisions
- A hands-on leader with previous managerial experience who leads by example, inspires and empowers team members.
- Strong understanding of systems level engineering: our solutions include expertise in embedded electronics, mechanics, IOT radios, Cloud software, embedded software, computer vision etc… also coupled with knowledge of contract manufacturing or cloud production systems.
- Proactive in identifying opportunities with a strong solution-minded approach and flexibility to emerging challenges based on the scope and growth of the organization.
- Strong collaborative, influencing and interpersonal skills with excellent verbal, written and presentation skills with the ability to deal effectively across all levels of management.
- Experience managing complex matrixed organizational structures and demonstrated capability in collaborating and influencing across such an organization.
- Experience in auditing/inspecting, data and document review, internal and external inspection.
