The Senior Material Handler performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment, and supporting logistics areas. This may include receiving and verifying in-coming materials and supplies, preparing bills of lading and shipping manifests, routing shipments appropriately, moving material within the warehouse/distribution facility, filling customers’ orders and preparing orders appropriately. Provides on the job training and input on the training of the Dept. Operating Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures.
The Opportunity:
You will train the Material Handling Technician I employees, specialize in knowledge generally of particular area, system or equipment. Requires specific training and certification.
You will apply some advanced skills to the position or specialization, adapt procedures, processes, tools, equipment, and techniques to meet the more complex requirements of the position.
You will perform duties that are generally routine, but may include non-routine tasks as needed.
You will resolve most questions and problems and refer only the most complex issues to higher levels.
You will be responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system, as well as achieving quality objectives through daily actions.
Schedule: Mon-Fri 1:30pm to 10:00pm
Who you are?
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalency
1 year of work experience
English proficiency required to maintain, ensure, and promote safety requirements and procedures for required machinery
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
Thorough understanding of the principles and applications of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO 9001
Basic computer skills with competency using standard software packages (Word and Excel)
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment
Be able to perform basic math calculations
Thorough understanding of appropriate safety procedures
Competence in SAP

Pay transparency
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indianapolis is 31,900.00 - 59,200.00 USD Annual. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
