What you’ll be doing:
As a key member of the Finance team the Revenue Accounting Manager is responsible for leading a team of 3 revenue accountants in supporting the financials for the Americas. Areas of responsibility include Revenue Recognition, Project Accounting, Consolidations, Intercompany Profit Elimination, Sales Tax (including GST/HST/QST), and Financial Reporting.
The Revenue Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing processes and outcomes and will work on projects to support both the Finance Department objectives, and the operational units in the Americas, all while delivering quality internal and external customer service while demonstrating competencies in all the areas of responsibility and the ability to grow with the organization
- Provide support to senior management and other stakeholders by delivering timely reports and analytical services, ensuring compliance with US GAAP requirements, and monthly deadlines..
- Support and prepare monthly financial statements, conduct variance analysis, and manage accounting functions including reconciliations and expense analysis.
- Develop and maintain revenue recognition processes for all business units.
- Manage team of revenue staff accountants.
- Verify compliance with contract terms, schedules, and agreements.
- Prepare, reconcile, and verify accounting information to contribute to accuracy and timeliness of the Company's financials.
- Provide high quality, timely support and problem resolution for the organization’s goals and financial results, ensuring a timely close of the financial period each month.
- Ensure revenue recognition is in conformance with ASC606 et seq. an that project assets and liabilities are properly recorded.
- Facilitate the annual audit.
- Build and maintain ongoing inter and intra-departmental working relationships to assist team members and focus on driving team and organizational goals.
- Process Improvement and Project Management

What you’ll bring to the table:
- 5+ years’ applicable experience. Strongly prefer at least 2 years US GAAP project-based ASC 606 accounting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required; master’s degree in accounting, finance, or business preferred.
- US CPA License is required, CFF, ABV, CITP, CGMA designations are preferred
- High level of ethical integrity
- Able to work in a fast-moving international environment
- Strong computer skills including Excel
- Strong knowledge of ERP accounting software required; Sage Intacct & Jamis Prime ERP experience is a plus.
- Comfortable making decisions with imperfect information, exchanging ideas, information, and opinions with others to formulate and/or arrive jointly at decisions, conclusions, or solutions.
- Ability to effectively present information on a regular basis to management, and others as needed. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
