Position Overview
As our TDM Practice Lead, you will be responsible for establishing and growing a national TDM practice focused on advancing transportation options, sustainability, and equity through behavior change and demand management strategies. You will help pursue and win regional and local TDM programs. You will oversee the delivery of TDM projects and help teams across the U.S. explore innovative solutions that keep our practice at the leading edge of the field.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with company leadership to implement a short- and long-term strategy for the growth and success of the TDM practice.
- Leverage your network to build client relationships and partnerships that expand our reputation in TDM across North America.
- Identify future/upcoming opportunities, build new client relationships, lead proposals and interviews, support teaming decisions, and guide overall pursuit strategy.
- Oversee the delivery of high-quality projects involving TDM planning, program design and evaluation, policy development, performance measurement, and sustainable mobility solutions.
- Mentor and support other team members in expanding their TDM expertise and business development capabilities.
- Bring forward innovations and best practices that can help our clients evolve beyond conventional TDM strategies and pilot fresh approaches.

- Robust administrative and operations support, including IT, accounting, legal, and HR.
Qualifications
- At least 15 years of experience in the transportation industry, including significant work in TDM, behavior change, and sustainable transportation strategies.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in urban planning, public policy, transportation, or related field.
- At least 3 years of experience managing or leading teams, and 5 years of project management.
- Demonstrated leadership in developing and implementing TDM programs at local, regional, or state levels.
- Deep understanding of strategies to shift travel behavior, including employer-based programs, commuter benefits, mobility hubs, marketing/outreach, and performance monitoring.
- Experience with proposal writing, grant applications, and business development.
- Proven ability to build relationships with clients and partners and to work across disciplines.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Knowledge of active transportation or multimodal transportation planning and design.
- Current familiarity with federal funding programs and policy related to TDM and transportation.
- Involvement with national professional organizations and experience presenting at national conferences.
- Ability to occasionally flex and support other practice areas as needed (e.g., transit, safety, Safe Routes to School, new mobility, trails & greenways, active transportation, design guidelines, and more).
- Strong writing and presentation skills.
