We're looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented People Operations Specialist to join our values-driven, growing team. In this crucial support role, you will assist with the day-to-day operations of our People team, directly contributing to a positive and seamless employee experience. Guided by senior team members, you will provide administrative and operational support across various HR functions, including onboarding, benefits administration, HRIS maintenance, and employee support.
What You'll Do
Manage Employee Support: Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions and support tickets, providing timely and empathetic responses.
Assist with Employee Onboarding: Help manage our onboarding workflows and paperwork, including preparing new hire documents, conducting initial orientations, and ensuring a smooth transition for new employees.
Support Talent Acquisition: Assist the recruiting team by reviewing applications, conducting initial candidate screen calls, and scheduling interviews.
Maintain HR Systems & Data: Help maintain and update employee records in our HRIS (Human Resources Information System), ensuring a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
Support Benefits Administration: Assist with the administration of employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and terminations, reconciliation, and support of employee questions.
Coordinate Employee Engagement: Contribute to planning and coordinating employee engagement activities and events.
Process HR Communications: Help prepare and distribute important HR-related communications and policy updates.
Provide Administrative Support: Assist with HR-related invoicing, calendar management, and preparing presentations for the team.
Contribute to Compliance: Support the maintenance of compliance with labor laws and regulations by assisting with audits and record-keeping.
Improve HR Processes: Assist in identifying opportunities to enhance and streamline processes within the People Operations department.
What You'll Bring
1-2 years of experience in a human resources or administrative support role.
Exceptional organizational skills and a meticulous attention to detail, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a high degree of empathy and discretion when handling sensitive employee information.
A solid understanding of HR principles and practices.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent related experience.
Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) or Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and a comfort with learning new software systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience with any of the tools in our HR tech stack (UKG, Zendesk, Ashby, Lattice, Notion, Workramp).
A relevant professional certification, such as SHRM-CP.
