Audiologist- Otorhinolaryngology

Provides audiologic care to adult, adolescent and pediatric patients. Performs appropriate audiologic tests, gives appropriate patient counseling, aural habilitation, and patient audiologic management; and other duties as assigned.

 

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Evaluates and diagnoses hearing loss, interprets results, and may coordinate treatment plan with medical, educational and psychological information to make a diagnosis and determine a course of action.
• Assesses the impact of hearing loss on an individual’s daily life.
• Evaluates and diagnoses balance disorders, interprets results, and may coordinate treatment plan with medical, educational, and psychological information to make a diagnosis and determine a course of action.
• Develops and implements hearing loss treatment plan, which may include fitting/dispensing hearing aids, and fitting/programming cochlear implants.
• Counsels' patients about hearing, balance, and related problems. Educates them about treatment plan including care and maintenance of hearing aids.
• Documents patient condition and progress.
• Uses the electronic medical record as documented in the department and/or FPI standard operating procedure and processes.
• Completes mandatory employee health, workers compensation, HR processes, and other training and requirements in required timeframe to ensure compliance with all FPI rules and regulations.
  EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  * Master’s or doctoral degree from an accredited program; Aud. preferred.
