POSITION OVERVIEW

As the Senior Director of Facilities at Sky Zone, you are a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the management, maintenance, and development of all company facilities.  You’re key to ensuring that the physical environment of the company supports its operational goals, complies with all relevant regulations, and provides a safe, efficient, and pleasant workspace for all employees. You lead a team of facilities professionals and work closely with senior management to align facilities strategies with overall departmental and business objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in facilities management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record of managing multi-unit large-scale facilities and leading diverse teams.
• Strong knowledge of facilities management principles, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent strategic planning, organizational, and project management skills.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budget development and management.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to drive change and innovation within a facilities management function.
• Ability to travel 50% of the time to park locations and leadership meetings.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Position requires the ability to remain stationary at a desk for extended periods of time.
• Able to move around and position self appropriately during park onsite assessments. 
• Able to lift a minimum of 20 lbs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Planning and Management:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive facilities management strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
• Oversee the planning, travel, and execution of facilities and installer projects, including new parks builds, renovations, and basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical work.
• Manage the annual facilities budget, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources.

Operational Excellence:

• Ensure the maintenance and repair of all company facilities to high standards of safety, efficiency, and appearance.
• Implement and manage preventative maintenance programs.
• Develop and enforce policies and procedures for facilities management.

Team Leadership:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing facilities management team.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and accountability within the facilities team.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback and support.

Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure all facilities comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks related to facilities operations.

Vendor and Contract Management:

• Oversee the selection and management of external contractors and service providers.
• Negotiate and manage contracts to ensure high-quality service delivery and cost-effectiveness.
• Maintain strong relationships with key vendors and service providers.

Sustainability and Innovation:

• Promote and implement sustainable practices in facilities management.
• Identify and integrate innovative technologies and practices to enhance facilities operations.
• Monitor industry trends and best practices to keep the company’s facilities at the forefront of efficiency and effectiveness.

Compensation: $140-170k + bonus based on qualifications, experience, and performance.  Competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401k with company match.
