DevOps Engineer

This is a remote position.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer with a strong background in AWS cloud deployments, container orchestration, and CI/CD automation. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing Kubernetes clusters, implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, and developing robust CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless application deployment and maintenance. Main Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters and Docker containers to ensure scalability and high availability of applications.
  
• Develop, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitOps, Jenkins DSL, Bitbucket/GitHub, and Jenkins.
  
• Manage and administer containerized environments using OpenShift, Docker Registry, Helm, and Kustomize.
  
• Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring security, availability, and cost efficiency.
  
• Administer, optimize, and troubleshoot Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems.
  
• Automate infrastructure and processes using Linux shell (Bash) and Python scripting.
  
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform to enable scalability, repeatability, and reproducibility of infrastructure deployments.
  
• Collaborate with development teams to streamline application deployments, enhance efficiency, and ensure system reliability.
  
• Establish and maintain monitoring and observability frameworks using Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry to ensure application performance and uptime.
  

Requirements

• Strong expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and Terraform.
  
• Experience with CI/CD tools, including GitOps, Jenkins DSL, Jenkins X, Bitbucket/GitHub, and Jira.
  
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS.
  
• Proficiency in Linux system administration, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
  
• Scripting skills in Bash and Python for automation and infrastructure management.
  
• Deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and cloud provisioning with Terraform.
  
• At least four years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, with proven expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
  
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, particularly for infrastructure and deployment issues.
  
• Ability to work effectively in an agile, fast-paced environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  
• Excellent communication skills and experience working in distributed teams.
  

Nice to Have:

• Experience with OpenShift and Docker Registry for managing containerized applications.
  
• Familiarity with GitOps principles and tools to enforce continuous delivery.
  
• Knowledge of cloud-native observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
  
• Experience working with distributed teams across various geographical locations.
  
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins X, Bitbucket, and Jira for task management.
