Job Description:
Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking an innovative and experienced Manager of Threat Intelligence and Travel Security to lead these critical programs. In an era defined by a "VUCA" (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, and Ambiguous) global landscape, this mid-level leadership role designed for a professional who has moved beyond the "individual contributor" stage and is ready to modernize a world-class intelligence program.
As we navigate the risks unfolding in 2026—including geopolitical fragmentation, supply chain shocks, and regional regulatory shifts—you will be the primary architect of HPE’s physical security and strategic intelligence program. You will lead a small, dedicated team of junior Intelligence Analysts to provide actionable, narrative-driven insights that protect our most valuable assets: our people and our global operations. You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, business unit executives, and regional security teams while modernizing our intelligence capabilities through cutting-edge technology solutions.
Note: This role is focused strictly on physical, geopolitical, and travel-related threats. While a high-level awareness of the "digital domino effect" is necessary, this position does not encompass cybersecurity, cyber intelligence, or IT-related threat monitoring as a primary function.
Key Responsibilities:
Threat Intelligence Operations
Risk Monitoring
Lead comprehensive all-source intelligence collection, analysis, and dissemination on physical security threats affecting HPE personnel, facilities, operations, and business interests worldwide
Actively monitor and analyze emerging global threats, including geopolitical instability in key manufacturing hubs, trade-related volatility (tariffs/export controls), and civil unrest.
Monitor and assess geopolitical developments, civil unrest, terrorism, adverse technology, kidnapping risks, natural disasters, public health emergencies, and other threats to business continuity
Risk Reporting
Produce high-quality written reports and deliver verbal briefings to Senior Leadership and Business Unit heads regarding "Over-the-Horizon" risks that could impact HPE’s revenue streams or site operations
Produce timely written intelligence products including daily situational awareness reports, threat assessments, country and regional briefings, trip-specific intelligence, and crisis situation reports
Deliver verbal briefings to executive leadership, Board members, Business Unit and Function leaders, and traveling employees on emerging threats and security conditions
Programmatic
Develop and maintain threat assessment methodologies and risk rating systems aligned to HPE's global operating environment
Act as the primary security intelligence liaison for HPE Business Units, ensuring security insights are integrated into broader business continuity and supply chain resilience plans
Partner closely with the Executive Protection (EP) team to identify and assess persons of interest (POIs) or groups of interest (GOIs) that may pose a physical risk to HPE leadership
Establish and maintain relationships with government intelligence agencies, law enforcement, private sector intelligence networks, and open-source intelligence (OSINT) communities
Travel Security Program Management
Programmatic
Design, implement, and manage HPE's comprehensive global travel security program supporting employee safety in high-risk and permissive environments
Establish travel security policies, procedures, and guidelines in coordination with HR, Legal, and business stakeholders
