Job Description
The Oligonucleotide Production Technician I – Synthesis will perform tasks associated with the production of modified oligonucleotides in a high throughput, fast paced, and time sensitive manufacturing environment. This position focuses within the Oligonucleotide synthesis department. An Oligonucleotide Production Technician I – Synthesis can be called on to work in any production shift in the Oligo Production Department.
This will be a 4x10 hour shift. Tuesday through Friday 1:00pm-11:30PM. This shift includes a 10% shift differntial.
Responsibilities:
- Operate MerMade, H-8, Expedite, AKTA, Oligopilot, and in-house built DNA Synthesis platforms.
- Maintain and monitor lab equipment as well as a chemical reagent delivery system.
- Participate in shared daily lab maintenance tasks.
- Maintain batch records, equipment logs, and other production records as directed per company procedures.
- Perform manufacturing activities according to written protocols, as directed by the departmental supervisor, manager, or director.
- Conscientiously learns requirements of the ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 quality management systems and diligently follow the terms of a quality contract, which describes the relevance and importance of the employee’s work to the achievement of LGC’s quality objectives.
- Perform safe handling and disposal of all synthesis chemicals appropriately and according to EH&S policy.
- Adherence to company Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policy
- Manage time effectively – schedule and organize varying workload with changing priorities.
- Promote cooperation and commitment within a team to achieve goals and deliverables. Communicate effectively within own department and other departments.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Master's Degree in Life Sciences is required.
- 0-2 years industry experience, and/or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates proficiency in a lab is strongly preferred.
- Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel. Use of a web browser.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: $ 20.913 / Hourly
Maximum: $ 34.855 /Hourly
This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for the California -based position. The actual base salary will depend on several factors such as: experience, skills, and location.
